We are excited to announce that Almo is now available to download and use. You can download Almo here – https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=GOTMO.AlmoForOutlook

Earlier in 2019 we announced that due to Microsoft deprecating the WIT client OM model (link) TMO would not support Azure DevOPS from 2020.

Soon we will introduce our new flagship product titled “Almo“. We have designed Almo to natively support Azure DevOPS. Almo uses the new REST APIs that Microsoft has introduced instead of the older SOAP APIs. Almo will look and feel just like TMO does and will provide the same rich features available in TMO today.

We will soon open Almo for trials. Keep watching this space for more information and updates! If you are keen to participate in our trials please leave a comment on this post or email us at [email protected]. We will be in touch with you soon!

Azure DevOPS Deprecation in TMO

TMO continues to support Azure DevOPS until Microsoft deprecates and retires the WIT client OM. Microsoft has not confirmed the timeline for this yet. However until such time as Microsoft completely shuts downs the SOAP APIs in Azure DevOps, TMO will continue to work with it. TMO will continue to work with all previous versions of Team Foundation Server or on-premises Azure DevOps where SOAP APIs are enabled. If you have more questions on this, please do reach out to us.

What happens to my TMO Licenses?

Almo will support all TMO users whose licenses are either valid in 2020 to their equivalent dates. Almo will also support all new TMO subscriptions purchased in 2020 for one year. Thus if you purchase a TMO subscription on 1st February 2020, Almo will support your TMO license until 30th January 2021.

We will work with all our users to ensure that your license is ported to your copy of Almo should you wish to shift to Almo. You can reach us at [email protected]
